The Ford Ranch in Hardeman County on the RED RIVER is a special TEXAS property developed by a special owner to compliment all wildlife species, not just one or two.  A well near the cabin services one mile of waterline for wildlife waterers.  This line has been lain through out the 240 acres of cropland (currently in wheat) and 20 acres of shelter belts.  Numerous bird and deer feeders are found through out the property.

You enter the property from F.M.2533 to an open concept cabin (30 x 30) with cellar, a 24 x 24 garage, 28×18 workshop, and implement barn that is 46 x 66. There is also an ATV garage that is 12 x 18.  From there the topography gently rolls down overlooking the RED RIVER. The 111 acres of native country takes a different look around every bend.  Then you ride up on the CATFISH POND in the river bottom.  It is complete with a solar powered aerator.   A good road system is found through out the property.

Vegetation includes Hackberry trees, Plum Thickets, Shin oak, Mesquite, and Soap berry along with native grasses.  The Plum thickets are currently in bloom.

Perimeter fences are good except near the river bottom.

Location is 5 miles north of Quanah, Texas on F.M. 2533.

Surface Only

The property is a truly unique offering. You have to view the Ford Ranch to see and experience for yourself the wildlife set up.
